New Investor Figuring Things Out
Hi, my name is William i'm 20 years old, I'm new to BiggerPockets and i'm sort of a new investor. I say "sort of" because all though I am new ( Within this concluding year i've been studying, cold calling, and i've almost closed on a few deals ), I have yet to close on that first deal though. Most would look at this real estate adventure that i've been on and wonder why I still do it, and honestly I give all of the credit to God and every sport that i've ever played because I just don't quit. Each time that things got hard or did not go my way I took it as a lesson on how to move better going forward lol kind of like my first deal, I got to the contract stage of a wholesale deal that i was putting together and my portion of the contracts were signed, but I made the rookie mistake of searching for my cash buyer and disclosing too much information about the property before the sellers portion of the contracts were signed. In the end I was circumvented on that deal and I didn't get it, but that experience did not leave me with nothing to show for the hard work, I was left with a lesson on what and what not to do going forward. I'm not used to things being easy especially because of my first and favorite sport Boxing, when you're in that ring you have to learn quick and adjust accordingly ( trust me my resting weight is 170lb so at least for me it's rare that I spar someone at the same weight usually their lighter which means faster, or heavier which means stronger ), that being said i'm also not used to things being handed to me, but recently i've been blessed with the opportunity to receive 100% funding on my next Fix and Flip deal. Of course this opportunity comes with some obstacles i'll have to hurdle, one being that I need to find an experienced investor with a LLC to partner with on a deal in order to show the lender that I have experience so I could start receiving money for me to invest on my own. In the end I believe that just like every other obstacle i've been met with, God will surely show me a path around it.
