Newbie in the Arlington Heights Il area eager to learn

Hello everyone! 

A lot of changes in my life lately (change of country of residence, change of job, first kid going to University, etc..)

Since I am going to stay in United States for a long period of time my wife and I decided we want to sell the house we owned in our country of origin. That means that, since we already have a buyer for this property, in early 2022 we are going to have some money to invest in US. Two weeks ago, I do not even remember why or how, I started to read the book How to invest in Real Estate and I could not stop reading until I finished it. I discover a totally unknown world for me. That book was like a spark for me and I started reading another book (BRRRR by David M Green). One thing led to another and I decided to be part of this wonderful BP community.

I am sure I want to invest the money I will get for my house (~450k USD) in Real Estate. I want to learn as much as possible, learn from the experts and start my own story as an investor. 

It feels great to be part of this community and I am sure I will get in touch with some of you that live in the Midwest area.
