New to LA, New to Real Estate!
Hey Everyone!
My name is Kendall. I am a 31-year-old Registered Nurse and new mom of a beautiful baby girl. I have been tip-toeing around the idea of going into real estate for a while, but recently I found Brandon and I am so inspired and ready to dive in. My goal is to create financial freedom for myself and my family. I want to take charge of my finances and feel empowered and pass this mentality onto my daughter. We recently moved from Northern California to beautiful Southern California so I am eager to learn and take any tips from people who have done real estate in the Los Angeles area. I love to learn and am excited for this new adventure! All tips appreciated :)
Best,
Kendall

@Kendall Kelly congrats on jumping in and that's an awesome profession! You have some great people here on this site that can really help you get into a place to expand all your knowledge and information to be successful.
I would jump on as many forums here to learn an area you want to invest, then jump into all the positives and negatives that area has for investing, and while you are doing this save up for that first down payment to do on your own or a partner. Also, get into a meetup, you can check meetup.com or on the events page here to find them, and try to link up with a local mentor here on BP or within your local LA market. (read as much as possible on current market trends, old market trends, and read about people that have done the stuff you want to me doing now).
