Intro from SF Bay Area
Hi, I'm Cory, newbie from SF Bay Area
I have a professional background in vision and blind rehabiltiation therapy, and work part-time, primarily with veterans and active duty military within the SF the Bay Area. I am brand new to RE investing. I made my first purchase earlier this summer--a small condo in Palm Springs that I'm currently getting prepped as a vacation rental. I am in the learning phase of REI and hope to move on another purchase soon.
I really connected with BP resources about a week ago. I had a long drive from SF to Southern CA, and decided to forgo my pump-up playlist in lieu of something more educational. Thus, I ended up geeking out to continual BP podcasts, back-to-back, for 9 hours at a time while driving up and then down the Interstate 5. Flash forward 18 hours of driving and I am 17 podcasts deep into the BP interview shows. My RE intellect bumped up a notch. Thanks for that. :)I am amazed by the amount of information, resources and collective wisdom within this community. Awesome, awesome community.
Best,
Cory

@Brandon Turner There is no such thing as an annoying joke provided the person telling it means well! Bravo on the podcast and thanks for the welcome!
@Larry Littrell Thanks for the welcome. I few months back I visited some cousins up in Seattle and it the summer beauty of that place was breathtaking.
@Minh L. Thanks for the welcome. Cute family pic.
@Lior Solomon Hi Lior. This being my first investment, I've already learned lots (aka made tons of mistakes). Original plan was to fix (cosmetic stuff) and flip. I decided to hold off and instead trial it as a vacation rental. I have a family member who lives in the area during the "high season" who will serve as my PM. Should be ready to go after one more work trip.
