New Multi Family Investor in Houston Texas

Hello All,

Really excited to be part of this community. My name is Mo Saadat and I am 36 years old. I have been a student of real estate investing for the past few years but am only now in a position to take action.

My goal is build and maintain a portfolio of profitable multi-family rental properties that provide safe, low-cost housing options for immigrant or young professional families in the greater Houston area. In the short-term I am in the market for a 15-25 unit apartment building to gain experience and develop the back-end system for future scale up.

By background, I am a management consultant in oilfield services and expect to work on my real estate aspirations on the side - a very tall order. Currently, I have (a) formed a multi-member LLC, b) assembled my team (legal, contractor, property manager, accountant).

What I am looking to gain from the community:

(a) learning on scaling up/building systems etc
(b) suggestions for real estate brokers/multi-family realtors - i have been rather disappointed by the lot I have come across. Most of them don't want much to do with you unless you are targeting the $1-3MM properties.
(c) pay it forward:-)

Thank you and looking forward to the learning,

Mo
