Newbie in Phoenix, AZ, looking for connections to chat with!

Hi all,

I am a Veteran and a Software engineer by trade, I've been reading books listening to podcast watching videos and generally learning as much as I can on my own. I currently reside in Scottsdale, AZ.

As I said I am a complete newbie to Real Estate investing, I have the VA home loan in my pocket and would love to utilize it to purchase my first property, a Multi-Family and eventually grow from there. I know the market is crazy, so not planning to buy until hopefully next year.

My rough plan would be house hacking, buy & hold properties. I know its is easier said then done any advice, tips, like dislike for a multi-family purchase?
