1st time buyer, new construction in DC - Virginia Metro

Rafael Saldaña
Posted

Hi all – I’m excited to try the forum for my first time. I have been listening to the bigger pockets podcast for one year now, and this is an awesome community.

I want to buy my first property in the DC – Virginia metro area, but I haven’t found an opportunity yet. At this point, I’m thinking of searching for a new construction Townhouse where I can live short term and then renting it out.

I'm hoping that if I buy early into a project, I can get a good price for new construction. Anyone from the DC – Virginia area recommends or knows about new developments that might be a good investment?

Thanks!

Any recommendations for searching/finding opportunities given the current environment? Any areas that you like more than others? I'm thinking of a Townhouse community, but I keep an open mind as I continue to learn from the process.

High growth areas. Alexandria, Springfield, Fairfax, Falls Church is where Id be looking in NoVa.
