Newbie from Northern Colorado

Kailey Wilderman

Hi all! I’m really excited to be here. I live in Colorado with my husband, our 2 dogs, 2 ball pythons and 1 veiled chameleon.

I found Bigger Pockets Podcast on YouTube and have watched a couple of episodes there. I am extremely interested in real estate investing but am a bit nervous and unsure where to begin.

I own a condo which is my primary residence and I am able to live below my means. I don’t hate my job but I’d prefer to not have to work it or any other job. I’d rather be able to spend my time helping homeless dogs find fosters and adopters and getting them out of kill shelters.

I’m looking for a way to get into real estate whether that is house hacking, short term rentals, or long term rentals and I’m ready to be schooled and make some connections!

Thanks in advance and I’m excited to meet you all!

Hey @Kailey Wilderman

Welcome to BiggerPockets -- I'd say the majority of people here are in the same boat as you. Many of us are looking to use real estate investing as a vehicle to reach financial independence and to spend our time on our true passions and interests!

I'd love to chat with you or meet for coffee to talk about the different ways you can get into REI in the Denver market. I have one long term rental and one short term rental, which both started as house hacks. I am also an investor-friendly agent who has helped others in the same position as you get into their first investment property. Let's connect :)
