Newbie to real estate, Beaumont, Tx!

Derricka Beard
Posted

My name is Derricka, I am 24 years old and I am from Beaumont, Tx (currently living in China, Tx). My dream has always been to find, fix, and sell. I love the idea of bringing old and outdated homes back to life. I currently work in the medical field, and I’m ready to gain financial freedom and stop working an 8 to 5.

I’ve read so many books, forums and listened to podcasts for the past few months and I believe I’m ready to take the leap. I’m currently looking into wholesaling, I think that’ll be the best start for me. I do plan on obtaining my real estate license because I think it’s be helpful in the long run.

Anyone in this area know where the flippers, realtors, and wholesalers network? Did anyone just literally jump in with the information they had and learned as they went?

I’m not afraid to start on this path, I’ve attended tax liens auctions, even purchased a piece of land (which seems to be a mistake so far) I just want to be sure I’m taking the right steps, and processing the information I’m receiving correctly to gain more confidence in real estate investing.
