Connecting with Local investor in NJ

Hello People, I'm currently 24 and have just started my RE journey. So far I have read couple of books and listened to Biggerpockets podcast. I'm in touch with one realtor who is helping me find deals, but I'm not having any luck as the market as already inflated and I cannot find good return property.

I would like to get in touch with local investor and learn about their experience and how they have been doing it so far. I know it might be lot to ask, but can anyone guide me or can share can some of their experience. I'm in NJ currently and looking for people from NJ, PA or CT. i would really appreciate your help! :)
