Ready for change in Salt Lake City, UT

Just learning about real estate investing but I'm ready to change my life. I'm 32, married with three children (7, 5, 1), and currently am an automotive/industrial painter. I love the work I do but it just won't cut it for my family's future or the future condition of my body. After listening to "Investing in Real Estate with No and Low Money Down" I realized that the only thing keeping me from moving forward was my mindset. I've connected with my nephew who is an agent and is also on these forums to get the ball rolling, but would love any other connections that are out there. My current goal is to have a passive income of $6000 a month within 5 years. My wife and I own our home which we luckily bought before the large spike in the Utah market, so my strategy will definitely start with that. I hope to learn a lot from the community here and to reciprocate that in the future!
