New member from Maryland ready to put in work
Hello I'm a new member out of Maryland and I'm ready to learn if someone's willing to take the time to guide me. Some background on how I started, in 2019 I decided to attempt to get my realtor license for the third time. I saw some youtube videos of an agent in Maryland and decided to reach out to him and he led me to an online course that I took which was super convenient given that I work a full time job. I kept procrastinating with my courses, but finally in March of 2020 (after breaking my ankle and being stuck at home with nothing to do) I completed my courses and received my license. I was suppose to shadow this agent in order to learn, but given my luck, a week after receiving my license covid struck -__-
I'll admit I haven't been responsible with my realtor duties. I have reached out to some people during 2020 who'll need realtor services in the future, but aside from that I been focusing more on my full time job (10 hour shifts Mon-Thurs) and side jobs on weekends (Fri-Sun). I'm actually working on my first buyer deal at the moment and ironically it's a purchase for my family and I to move in. It's embarrassing but I'm still learning all the basics such as how to write up an offer and stuff like that. For about a month now I've been tuning in to the BiggerPockets podcast while at work and I'm ready to start being my own boss. I'm still very inexperienced, but I'm willing to do whatever possible to learn. I learn better in person or when I'm more hands on so if there's anybody in the DMV area who wouldn't mind having me tag along, even if it's just for a few minutes then I would be more than grateful.
I don't want to come in empty handed so some things I can offer: (apologies in advance if I can't post this here)
My brother's an amateur photograher
My mother and aunt have a house cleaning service
My father and uncle do home remodeling such as flooring installations, drywall, paint, kitchen/bathroom remodels, etc. and another uncle who focuses on cabinets and carpentry
I hope to hear from you guys soon, thank you!
