In search of a concise guide for new landlords??
I have some friends who are setting out on their journey as landlords with a basement apartment. I wanted to find them a guide book on the basics of landlording, something in the 100 page range. I have read several great books but all in the 350+ page range. I was looking for something a little more concise for newbies that focuses on getting good tenants.
Anyone know of a great little guide book for new landlords??

Honestly you are doing them a disservice if you give them a short guide. Land lording is a profession like any other. Even a 350 page book doesn't tell you everything you need to know. These books don't even get into state and local laws, which need to be researched where the property is located.
That being said, there are several short guides published for free by BiggerPockets. Being a landlord is easy, but being a good landlord requires effort and education.
