Hi all!

I doubt I qualify for n00b status just yet, as I have only just been forced into a decision to try my hand at property investment, and I'm not sure how beneficial my relationship with the site will be, with me stuck on the tip of Africa, but I do want to greet the forum and start things rolling.

Our economy dipped here at least eight years ago when easy credit saw many of us land face down in the marsh of our own ineptitude as soon as spending froze. That, coupled with lack of working capital and a poor business plan saw my business dive and only a stubborn lack of acceptance of the facts has kept me afloat.

I don't see property investment as a get-rich-quick scheme and I certainly don't believe the rubbish out there that makes all kinds of promises with no substance. I'm hoping to attain a portfolio of property that will provide sufficient income to grow old with grace. (or with Jenny, my wife!)

Perhaps, as things improve, I will grow greedy, but I doubt it. I've seen enough hardship to appreciate what I get.

As yet, I am too green to even understand the differences between the various forms of property investment, so I cannot share what route I plan to follow, other than...

There is no plan! :-)

Thanks for your time and have a great weekend.
