Overwhelmed with Real estate methods, "universities", and gurus.

Posted

Hello Everyone,

I'm eager to begin in the real estate world and have been overwhelmed with the number of training videos, gurus, and the no credit, no experience, and no money needed to become rich in real estate sites. I.E. Cardone, Ligon U, Kris Krohn, etc... It's hard to distinguish which are scams vs the ones that are genuine. Some sound too good to be true and I know it takes lots of hard work to become successful in anything-which I'm totally willing to do! I really love this site and the wealth of information it contains! Hoping that I can get some input, wisdom, and insight from some of you.

Thanks in advance!!

chris

@Christos Kritikos Perhabs it is my cheapskate nature but I think you can become an expert for free! Listen to every biggerpockets podcast, listen for the books they recommend and go check your local library to see if they have the books they recommend there. They may not have all but they will have enough to keep you busy. Get on facebook or biggerpockets and search real estate investment groups in your area and join. If they have events and meetups go to them. Landlords in your area will be the best "guru" you can talk to and virtually all of them will help you for free because they also have a passion for real estate. Be genuine, tell them your goals and where you are at and it will be amazing what will happen all for free!
