Aloha, My Name is Sterling, I just signed up for BP Pro. I am a beginning real estate investor. I am originally from Hawaii but, I currently reside in Tucson, Az. Got introduced to real estate investing while watching some video on YouTube. Saw a couple of videos from Robert Kiyosaki and was intrigued. I started to dive deeper and read Rich Dad Poor Dad. When I started reading(listening to the audiobook) my mind was blown out the water. My whole way of thinking changed. Then by chance the more videos I watched I came across Brandon Turners videos and BP. I had gotten two super awesome books, Investing In Real Estate With Little or No Money Down, and The Book on Rental Property Investing. That’s where a lot was learned because it was broken down to see the process and set Ur strategies up to land Ur deals. Then I signed up for the webinar and decided to join the smart crowd. So here I am. Ready to take steps to secure my financial freedom. Thank U Brandon Turner for being so personable, I was able to see that I can do this if U could too. I look forward to achieving many great things BP and its community. Aloha.😎🤙🏽🤙🏽

Welcome to Tucson and the BP community. My story is just like yours (with out the Hawaii ). It's been a learning process and each step leads to questions and found answers. I close on my first investment property in Flagstaff AZ in two days. 1b1b condo next to NAU. $174K. The find fell in my lap off the MLS. It had its ups and downs to close. Originally was a 10% down second home purchase as my daughter will live in it for college and it saves me $800 a month from campus costs. Then just 7 days before closing the lender (bc Fannie Mae Freddie Mac issues) I needed to place 25 % down . Ouch !. I found the funds and learned some lessons. Still savings down the road with the larger down. $600 mortgage. Should rent for $1400 after she moved out in 2 years and the value should hit $200k by then too. Now looking for my SF or duplex in Tucson.

Good luck to you! Very exciting times to be learning REI.
