Hello from So. California

Greetings to all,

I'm a real newbie to this forum and I hope to get some useful information on real estate investing. I currently have two parcels side by side, living in one and I was renting the other. I will need to move into the one next door soon so I can build a new home here.

I'm also new to developing so, I haven't a clue where to start except, I've been browsing the floor plan sites, looking for just the right home for my lot. Most of the homes here are manufactured housing but, I live in one now and they really are a lousy way to live. Most of the new models I've looked at are very poor quality yet, the want $90K for them.

I feel that, as an owner builder, I could build a whole lot of house for that. so, if anyone has any ideas, I'm here to listen. Both of my lots are approx. 1/3 acre, 180 deep, 1 pie shaped and the other, (rental) is a rectangle, but not quite as deep. I'll develop that one later or sell it as is when I finish my home.
