New and Excited in San Diego

John Bull
Posted

Hi bigger pockets.  We are a family of 4 living in San Diego. I have an extensive background in construction as well as a general contractors license in CA.  My wife is in school working towards her masters in school psychology. We have 2 daughters who are both in elementary school.

We own a home and are excited to get started on our real estate investing journey.  The San Diego market may be a difficult place to start. I have family in the Tampa Fl area and am considering that as an option.

We are looking to either buy and hold or fix and flip.  I have the skillset and the ability to handle the fix and flip but not sure that is the best route.

I would like to ask for some advise on where to start. I have ordered some books and spent a lot of time all over the web researching and reading.  There is a lot of information out there and this forum seems to be the most trustworthy that I have come across.

Thank you all for listening.

Cheers!

The Bull Family

@John Bull Welcome John! This is definitely the place to be if you’re just starting out. The Forums, books and Podcasts will give you a ton of knowledge.

I’d recommend really keying in on what you want to focus on, then jump in full force, weather it’s Florida or Local in SD county.

Depending on your goals (Cashflow vs. flip profit) and situation (financial vs. time investment).

Real Estate is a great vehicle to achieve your financial goals!
