New to BP forum - looking to invest in Southern Oregon

Hi BP universe!

My wife and I are long term listeners of the BP Real Estate podcast and we are finally trying to buy our first investment property in Oregon. We live in Oakland and we are currently living in a house hack. We would love to get a short term rental property in Ashland Oregon as we love the area and would love to use it while it's not being rented.  Does anyone have any experience in that area? Also - so we're not just mooching off the community - we would be happy to share info on our experience investing in the Bay Area.
