Opening My Eyes to Investing in Real Estate.

Artem Yanis
Posted

Hello,

My name is Artem Yanis I currently live in Turner, OR but I grew up in the Salem, OR area for most of my life. I am pretty new to investing in real estate, but I have been doing a lot of studying and research online to get up to speed. I'm Excited to learn many more things about Real Estate. I'm ready to connect with investors.

As far as strategy, I'm thinking of starting out with house hacking a multifamily property. This will be my first property and I believe its a good way to get in the groove of things and get my toes in the water.

If you have any questions for me let me know.

As far as questions I have a couple.

1) When starting out housing hacking a multifamily property how important is it to have a large down payment to lower the monthly mortgage? When purchasing a multifamily, what kind of loans do you guys recommend? I heard that FHA or conventional loans are solid options.

2) When dealing with rental properties and investing in real estate do you guys recommend 30 year fixed loans when starting out(lower monthly mortgage)?
