Introduction and Investing in the UK

Hey all,

I am a 18 year old from the west midlands in the United kingdom trying to educate myself on Real estate. On upon on trying to do research and looking for a mentor, I have noticed how weak and less connected the real estate community in the UK is compared to the USA. Being an individual who does not give up, I still found ways of educating myself thus the reason that I stumbled across BiggerPockets! I have a lot of questions that I think the forums can help me and answer for me such:

• Can the creative funding strategies used in the US work in the UK?
• Are the laws based around real estate the same?
  
• Is there a section on this website dedicated to the UK on this website?
• How do I find a mentor?
• Is there a website like this for the UK community?

I am hoping that this reaches not only UK members but also US members that can help me answer these questions. Feel free to join me, help me and educate me throughout my real estate journey. I am looking forward to post more.
