Investment Advice for San Antonio and Surrounding Areas

Hello BP nation! After a year of research and educating myself through BP and other sources I am ready to invest in my initial rental property. Specifically, I am looking for a multifamily duplex or triplex. I spent many years in Texas through the military and am a resident there. I am currently deployed overseas and consequently will be out of state investing for the time being. I would love to get some advice from the BP community as to trusted real estate agents in the area well versed in the type of investment property I am searching for.

Additionally, I would appreciate some professional views about the rental market in the San Antonio and the surrounding areas and any advice on what areas you recommend to buy the property in. Lastly, I hope to start to building my network with all you great people here! Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing everyone’s insights!

@Ian Hurdle Congrats on deciding to take action and begin your real estate journey. This is the toughest but most important step that many never take. It will be challenging and you will get frustrated, but press on and keep thinking about your 'why' - whatever that may be.

There are many military real estate investors like myself who are always trying to learn more and help others along their journey, just like we were helped by others before us. The BP forum is an extremely valuable tool to both learn and build your network and I recommend you make a habit to use this platform regularly.

Best of luck and keep us all updated on your progress!
