Hello everyone,

My name is Alejandra. My partner Russell and I are new investors located in Seffner, Fl. I wanted to come to the forum and introduce ourselves to the wonderful people on Biggerpockets. We have been learning a lot about real estate since October 2020 through different books, listening to podcasts, etc. Unfortunately, we have not met any investors around us, but we welcome you with open arms :)

A little bit about us, we have a 4-year-old daughter and we own an SFH. We bought this house in October 2018. We were thinking of doing a cash-out refinance on this property, in order to buy a duplex by the end of the year but due to bad debt and bad credit, my bank told us we cannot do it for now until the credit score is up. I will call more banks to get different opinions and we are working towards paying everything and then save as much as we can. Another option is to purchase the duplex with an FHA loan. If you guys are so kind, give me your opinions on what would you do in this situation.

We are so excited to be part of this wonderful community. Thank you so much in advance!. We are new but we are excited to learn and do our best.
