LLC formation for the acquisition of new properties

Hello everyone,

My name is Kyle Damkoehler, I'm a real estate investor in St. Petersburg, FL. I own two, ten unit apartment buildings right next to each other with my brother, Ryan. My question is for future acquisitions, whether it be an eight unit property, six unit property or sing family home, do you guys create a separate LLC for each property you purchase? From everything I have read it is highly recommended that you do create a separate LLC for the purpose of asset protection, but I just wanted to see what some fellow investors had as far as thoughts on this subject.

Thanks, KD
