Houston area introduction

Hey everyone! My name's Alex and I've decided to stop waiting around. I'm taking the plunge on a life long dream of developing my real estate investment portfolio. I'm located in the Houston area, I live up in Montgomery on Lake Conroe. I've been reading and studying a lot of different strategies and plan on buy and hold for now to develop some cash flow. BigggerPockets has been a wealth of information for me and I love learning all the different strategies that are out there. 

My full time job is flying for the airlines and at times a have a good amount of down time. I'm going to make the best use of time to find deals. I've put together a team of contractors, CPA, attorney and ONE realtor for now. In addition I would love to attend any get togethers in the Houston area and just meet great people that share the same passion for real estate.
