Hello Everyone,

My name is Arkady and stumbling upon this website is one of the best things to have happen to me. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for taking time away from their busy lives to answer questions, start discussions, and help the general community. As a new investor, I really appreciate it.

A little about me:
I currently live in Los Angeles but I will be relocating to San Luis Obispo towards the end of Summer 2013. My fiances was offered a professor position at Cal Poly and I'm excited for the change. I, like many new/aspiring investors, was drawn into this world by watching late night TV. Foolishly, I was one of those who spent several hundred dollars in some crazy program so that I can "make $50,000 in 2 days". Needless to say, that didn't workout as planned. My further research lead me to this site. The beginner's guide was amazingly written. I've listened to many podcasts and I truly am blown away by the quality of the content. Forums on BP? I can't even fetch the words to describe how helpful they are.

These past few weeks I've been passively reading, learning, listening, and researching. Following the advice of some experienced investors on this site, I went ahead and registered for the California Real Estate Agent's course and should have my license in less than 2 months. I've also invested in J Scott's books on flipping and have been working on my business plan simultaneously.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and thank the BP creator(s), contributors, and my fellow investors.
