I'm very interested in real estate investing, and I've been thinking about it for several years now. I have NO idea how to get started, and the idea scares me to death. I don't have terribly good credit, and I am unemployed (looking for a job- I've got 2 M.A. degrees, which is a huge hinderance). However, over the next 5-10 years I plan to spend over $100,000 on a medical degree, and I need a way to pay for that and provide a place to live during that time. The school I'm planning to attend is in Portland, so I'd be looking for opportunities both here and there. I would be very grateful for any assistance or tips I can get!
