New REI in St. Louis

Hello BP community! I'm brand new here, and very new to REI. I've invested in one syndication thus far and like the passive approach, but I also want to build a portfolio of SF and MF properties. I'm more interested in buy and hold with minor value add versus BRRRR methods, hacking, or flipping. I'm in St. Louis and beginning to build my networks here. Happy to hear from anyone who may have some insight into the market or be interested in networking!
