Hello to All. New member from Katy, Texas.
Just a little history about myself. I have had one commercial rental property, and five single family rental properties. Three of the SFR are in Virginia with a partner and currently in the process of selling my ownership to my partner due to my relocation to Texas.
I like to continue investing in real estate near my new residence (Katy, TX). One of my main goals is to establish multiple SFR in my portfolio.
I have been in the construction and development industry for 20 years as a labor during my college years and professional estimator for various construction and development companies.
I have built and remodel homes, office building, restaurants, industrial plants, etc.
Current day job - working for developer/construction company that builds high quality apartment complexes.

I just moved to Texas 3 months ago. I'm liking the location (Katy/Houston) and the amout of construction. I'm currently looking for existing properties (good deals, foreclosures, wholesalers), but performa has to work too.
Also, I don't mind getting my hands dirty if property requires work (I can pretty much fix anything on the building). Since I'm in the construction industry, I have made several contacts with subcontractors. It also helps when you work for a compnay does $1B/yr in apartment developement/construction.
Not looking to build new right now.
I see you have a Ranch, I might bring the family and stay couple of nights but my wife have to agree (she's a city girl) so no guarantees.
