Introduction and advice needed

Linus Leung
Posted

Hello to the bigger pockets community,

My name Linus and I’ve been listening to the bigger pockets podcast for a few months now, which spark a huge interest in entering the real estate market for rentals. I’ve heard a lot of amazing success stories from the members here and it’s truly motivating and inspirational, so I wanted to thank the entire community for that. I obviously have no experience with rental or real estate, but it’s encouraging to know that most successful individuals here didn’t have much experience before they succeeded. With that said, we have a property in Pomona, CA (Phillips Ranch) that’s been sitting for almost ten years and it needs quite a bit of work. I was hoping to find a general contractor maybe through a referral or here that has experience with rentals to tackle the project and do only the necessary repairs. The property sits on almost half an acre and the home is approximately 3,200 sq ft. Thanks in advance and I appreciate any and all advice.
