New member living in Luxembourg (Europe) interested in buying property outside Europe
Hello everyone,
Let me just start by saying that this site really is a magnificent idea and I have recently been interested in real estates, so I am more than happy to have stumbled across biggerpockets.com.
So my story is that I was born and raised in Luxembourg, I speak 5 languages, have a Luxembourgish and Brazilian passport.
I want to get investing in real estate (not too sure what my niche is but I'm heading towards the apartments direction possibly small family homes). I still have a long way to go before I can start seeing as I don't even know if it is possible for me to buy property in the US or in the UK for example.
It's almost impossible to open a UK bank account where I could put my savings in, so I don't see how to get a mortgage and buy property. I do have savings of around £20,000 = $31,000 and want to use that for my first apartment/ family house.
Ideally I want to pay off the mortgage through rent and some of my own salary on a monthly basis (around $1300 of my own salary).
If anyone can help me with some of my questions, such as if it is even possible for me to buy property being a non US/UK citizen or if adding my salary is a stupid idea, I would be more than grateful to hear from you.
Thanks a lot guys :)
