New in San Diego
Hi there everyone!
My name is Seth and I am a newbie real estate investor. I'm a father of two young boys who keep me very busy.
I used to be journalist/author, and maybe someday I will be again, but right now I am getting interested in investing and paying the bills with rental income.
I am currently in escrow on a commercial building in the College Area of San Diego, not far from where I live. I am doing the deal with my father in law, an artist, who will live in the top of the building (the building is zoned live/work); the bottom half is rented by a church, a long-time tenant.
I also am looking to buy (and hold) a rental property in the San Diego area, preferably a fourplex in a nice area. I've been looking around, but inventory seems kind of thin right now. I'm willing to take my time, though, and wait till the right deal finds me.
I'd also like to find a mentor in real estate investing.
Looking forward to meeting you all and learning from you.
w/r
Seth
