Hi,

I'm an aussie who just moved to the US (via Singapore) last year with the family and we're living in Atlanta. We have some property in the UK and Australia which we rent out. The plan is to educate myself on the US market and add some more properties to the portfolio. We kind of bought our existing places in an adhoc way (3 of them we lived in) and in our own name. This time, in the US market, I'm trying to be more systematic and strategic and educating myself in a range of areas. I've already completed a training course on wholesaling and foreclosures.

The plan is to first wholesale as all our cash is tied up overseas (we are selling an Australian property so we can bring over funds) plus we're building up our credit score. I figure wholesaling is also a good way to learn and become familiar with my target area.

I'm really impressed with all the marketing and creative techniques that investors use here. If anyone has any tips or words of wisdom then please let me know.

Thanks,
Rachel
