Newbie from Connecticut

Hello everyone,

My name is Sam Loranger and I’m from Brookfield, CT. I am 22 years old and currently work in construction. I have been on the fence of getting into real estate for about a year but after buying and reading Brandon Turners book, “The Book on Rental Property Investing” I became hooked. Since then I have discovered BP podcasts and this great community.

I am the first in my family/ friend group to show interest in RE so it’s very hard to get started, which is why I’m here! I want to explore and learn as much as I can before I officially jump in.

I look forward to speaking and learning from some of you!

Welcome @Sam Loranger Connecticut is a great market to house hack in to get started.  Make sure you read @Scott Trench's book Set for Life, and consider taking on a house hack multi that needs more work as you have construction experience. I would also recommend really talking about your interest with your co-workers and contractors to find who you could use to help/ help them out with projects to come up to speed!
