Entering the waters, new interest in RE

Hello, I am 32 YO working full time and continue to go back and forth on diversifying into real estate. I live in TX with majority of my family in the Midwest. This gives me two general areas of interest. Although I have dabbled in researching this space I fully admit I have a far ways to go. Ideally, by retirement, my RE portfolio generates $10k/mo of cash flow. I currently rent, am debt free, and an aggressive investor in the broader stock market. As of now I find multi-family the most intriguing and scalable method to attain this goal. Direction and feedback welcome.

Thank you.

Hi @Ryan Doucette. Welcome to BiggerPockets! You're in the right place. Tons of knowledge out there. I agree that multifamily investing is the easiest way to scale in real estate. At this stage, I would start networking with multifamily investors and learn as much as you can about the different options of investing in multifamily.
