Looking for a bit of direction

Hi guys, 

I'm a complete newbie. So far have watched videos on YouTube and am starting my investment journey. I'm a systems engineer at a managed services provider and work full time. But on the side id like to learn and gain some information on rental properties, wholesaling and real estate investing. 

I'm interested in learning how people have started, and in general if I could be put in the correct direction that would be great.
