CORNWALL ONT, Rookie questions

Hi all, I'm a rookie looking to get into the game. I have moved in Cornwall Ontario around a year ago and would like to get my first deal locally. 

I have a good income from a professional job that I like. For me the real estate journey would be around retirement. 

I would like to connect with people that invest into the market to get a feel for it. Any reference to build a team would be greatly appreciated.
