Hi everyone!

I've been listening to the podcasts for a while now, and figured I should join up to learn as much as I can.

I'm a homeowner here in Longview WA(SW WA) and I'm here looking to learn about rehabbing, development, rentals, and commercial property. I'm originally from Portland Oregon, and know the metro areas around there quite well. I also attended college in Klamath Falls Oregon, and have a brother down there who got me interested in real estate with some of the properties he's been working on down there.

Our Dad had a construction company, so we grew up doing remodels to commercial spaces, working on homes, and running heavy equipment. I later went into doing concrete before pursuing Welding and Fabrication where I did stainless installs and custom equipment, before finally settling in on Machining, as to further pursue my life's passion of designing and gunsmithing.

My wife and I bought a house a few years ago and are looking to do a refinance soon, drop the PMI, and use some of the money to do some repairs and possibly finish an apartment on to our detached garage.
I've also got a few friends in the area here that do construction, electrical, and plumbing, so I'm hoping to put together a team to help upgrade my home and continue on to revitalize this bustling industrial town.

If anyone knows how to do foundation upgrade or repair, I'd love to talk to you about it!
Also, if anyone knows about steel buildings, container homes, and industrial style architecture, I'm interested in those as well.
OR if you need boots on the ground in the SW Washington/NW Oregon to check properties out, drive by rentals, or whatever else I can help with to learn the industry, I'm your man. I'm highly motivated, and looking to learn as much as possible!

If anyone in the surrounding area would like to grab a beer, coffee, or food(I'm a big-time foodie), I'm looking forward to networking, learning, and pursuing as much opportunity as I can! Great to finally be here! =)
