Newbie Questions wholesaling

Hey All,

First I would like to say how excited I am to be on Bigger Pockets and looking forward to actively being part of such a great community. I have been interested in Real Estate investing for quite sometime but never found a platform to get direction without investing thousands. I also wanted to offer thanks to all those seasoned professionals who offer their guidance and wisdom on BP from the heart.

I am currently in California, L.A to be exact. As i start my journey, I have chose Wholesaling as my beginning Niche/Market since it requires more effort than start up cost. California housing is extremely pricey. So my questions are the following:

1. Is it possible to wholesale in Los Angeles and California and find success?

2. I am originally from Michigan and think it would be a better Market to wholesale, however how do I accomplish when residing in L.A.?

3. What is CRM and what is it's purpose?
