College student who is new to Real Estate Investing

Hello everybody, my name is Harold, and I currently attending college in Oregon. I am fairly new to the world of Real Estate Investing (about a year's worth of self-educating). REI is an absolutely fascinating subject to me, which is why I recently joined my local REIA. Most of my family is from Georgia, so naturally, the southern REI market extremely interests me, specifically small buy and hold multifamily properties 3-5 units in Georgia. I have read multiple beginner real estate books and am currently reading The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner, next I would like to read Frank Gallinelli's book "What Every Real Estate Investor Needs To Know About Cash Flow". I have also started to do some deal analysis practice as I understand that it is crucial to have a great understanding of the math involved in any investment. I just wanted to say hello and that I am very excited to keep learning more and to keep interacting on these forums. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Question

1. What did you do when you first started your REI journey to learn as much as possible while saving up capital for your first investment.
