How do I get real life experience

Hi all, I want to enter the real estate market and create a new stream of (passive) income, I am really unsure of where to even begin. I live in Columbus GA, and with corona I have not had to opportunity to meet too many people. I really want to get some experience but I have no idea how and where to begin. I want to start but I don't want to go in head first and lose too much money. I read a few books but without actual experience or guidance I feel lost. Any advice?
