New to Real Estate Investing

Hey BP! I'm new to BP and I have been reading, researching, and learning how to get into real estate investment for about 9 months now. I'm focused on getting 1 deal done this year as a buy and hold strategy. I live In NY and Ive been primarily interested out of state and I chose the Orlando market.  This is really just my intro to the community. If anyone has any guidance, advice, or tips I'm open to learn.  I've been working to build my real estate network in the tri state area and Florida with real estate agents, lawyers, property management, contractors, etc so hopefully I'll be able to help others with my network. Looking forward to learning from this great community.
