Beginner investor looking for advise.

Hello BiggerPockets enthusiasts!

My Name is Issac. A young excited learner looking to go from Rookie Investor to a Real Estate Investor. I have been blessed with 30 days off from my normal W2 Job and in stead of traveling abroad, scuba diving with Nemo or search for the greatest food dish, I plan to dedicate the time I would be working into learning about Real Estate. My Goal by the following month (mid-late October) would be to share the valuable information for other Real Estate beginners.

I wanted to ask seasoned Investors, Agents, Lenders, etc. a question: "Based on what you know now, if you could go back in time and give yourself 30 days free from distraction to learn about Real Estate for starting your Real Estate business/career/investments, what advice would you give yourself?" Put yourself in the mind set of singer Cher and ask your self "If I could turn back time". If you don't know what I am talking about please look up that song on YouTube (potential title for the blog).

**Before you answer** think about "where would you would start?" "what books, blogs or habits were big catalysts for you?" "what should you have avoided?

Background: I currently live in El Paso Tx (moved from Austin Tx in 2018) . I am studying to get an MBA in marketing while working a full time Job. I want to make Real Estate a means for leaving my current job (way down the line) and provide opportunities for family and friends to do the same. My job allows me to work from anywhere in the world that has internet. Also I have never posted a blog before so if you have any tips let me know :)

If you've read this far, thank you!

I'm only about 2 months ahead of you. I knew I wanted to get into real estate but not sure how.

I started by listening to the podcast (just random selections based on titles) and then I was hooked.

1. Read Rich Dad Poor Dad

2. Read BRRRR by David Greene

3. Joined this network and started reaching out and connecting (like you are now).

4. Made a habit of analyzing properties once a day to get the hang of finding a good deal.

5. Currently in the middle of Long Distance Rentals by David Greene

6. At this point I have a long list in two ideal cities full of referrals by trusted people that I need to interview.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
