Excited to learn and contribute!
Hi, my name is Waylon. Like many others, I am new to real estate investing. I am a life long resident of North Georgia, married way out of my league, and have two daughters. In my day job, I am a retail broker that represents consumer good manufacturers and sell their products to Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar. I love to hunt, fish, camp, trail run, mountain bike, and adventure racing.
My wife and I want to invest in long term rentals as a way to diversify our retirement portfolio and attempt to build some passive income long term. I would consider ourselves to be calculated risk-takers.
I am super excited to learn about this industry, plug into this community, and help others along the way if possible. Thanks!

@Paul Moore morning! Well I feel horrible to say this but absolutely nothing! My retail business keeps me so busy I truly have not made a single move in real estate. My wife and I have a written goal to buy our first long term rental this year. Really appreciate the fact that you asked this question. To answer it this morning, was a major reality check for me. Cannot believe I started this thread 3 years ago. My how time flies. I think this is the first time I logged back into Bigger Pockets since my post. 🤦🏼♂️
