New from Missouri!

Hello everybody,

New investor here from Missouri. Little about me; I am 21 years old, currently have about a year left in college majoring in Health Information Management. All of my classes are online so I work as a Night janitor at the High School I graduated from haha. I live at home with my parents still so that eliminates almost all bills. In May I am moving in with girlfriend and we get to live in a house rent free since her grandparents own it. (She graduates in May and already accepted a job as Registered Nurse and fully supports my endeavors) My father is a real estate broker and has been for 20+ years. I also have good connections in the bank I use as the vice-president is a part time agent for my father. My father is willing to help me although he is not too fond of rental properties.

My goals or plan is to buy and hold long term properties, flipping a couple a year to help pay down the loans quicker or buy more. Also, once I graduate I plan to work in the Health field with my degree full time until I can replace that income with real estate.

I flipped my first house and got it sold about a month ago. I purchased it for 10k and sold it for 23k a few months later. Not much money was put into it and I made about 11k on it. I feel like I am in a great position for real estate investing. I have a good amount of money in savings I feel for my age to buy a few houses now. I don’t know what I’m waiting for; I should already have bought a few!

Anyway, love the forum and the vast majority of information available. Oh and keep the podcasts coming. It gives me something to listen to while I’m at work!

Ethan
