Newbie from Seattle, Wa

Hi everybody, my name’s Chris I’m from the Seattle area. I’m on here because I stumbled upon real estate by buying a mobile home for 2000 just to live in to save monthly rent and fixed it up and now it’s worth 20,000. So I’m now convinced this is something I want to do. My goal is to fix and flip a house or two then with enough capital keep and rent out some that make sense financially. If anybody knows the area or can just impart some general wisdom that can help I very much appreciate it. Thank you.

Hey @Chris Mallon - I started as an investor first, and became a real estate agent afterwards. I mostly work with Househackers and Investors.

The Seattle Market is still white hot and most of the good agents out here are working 12+ hour days to try to keep up. Multiple offers, lots of buyers, and a WalletHub report just ranked it as the strongest real estate market in the country post-COVID. We own rentals out here and although the cashflow is nice, most of our big gains have come from tapping into massive appreciation on our buy-and-holds.

Cheers!
