Hi My house flooded this week and my entire first floor including kitchen and finished basement are ruined and will need complete replacement. My family and I have ben told my multiple adjusters that we will be out of the house for at least 6-10 months. We have been looking to rent a house but have not found anything suitable. I was considering buying another house through a company or trust I could create and then renting that house( which will be paid by the insurance company). I would try to continue to rent the house after we get back in ours or I could turn around and sell it. Does this sound crazy or is this something that people do? Any advice would be helpful.
