Real Estate Options in a Bad Area

Zack Rosa
Posted

Hi everyone, I am new here and new to real estate investing. I have read a lot of books about real estate and business but I'm getting to the point where I really want to start!

I am in the Army and stationed in Fort Polk, La. And if you do not know anything about this area, it might be the worst area to be in. I really want to start investing and buying properties but I really think this area would be a terrible place to start, not to mention i never want to come back here when I finally PCS somewhere else.

So my question is...What are some options I have to get started on this journey? To me I feel I would love either Flipping Houses or the BRRRR method. I am just looking for some ideas that I can research more about. Or is my best option just to continue educating myself until I move to

Anything is much appreciated. Just tired of doing nothing and ready to start!!!

Thanks

Zack

@Ned Carey Thank you very much for the reply!

I currently listen to the podcast religiously! I've attended some webinars, and i'm reading a book a week about real estate. I'm really looking for some real world practice because as much as all these resources teach me, it just isn't the same as actually doing.

But for now i guess i will continue saving and educating! Again Thank you for the reply!
