New in Colorado Springs CO, going to FL

Hi all. My name is Jason, and have joined to start/continue learning and networking in real estate. Currently, we are living in Colorado Springs, but are looking to move to central FL anytime in the next 2 weeks to 12 months. I am working full time, somehow, as an ops manager for a company that runs live, in person events around the country. That obviously not being feasible in the near future, we are looking to adjust to investing in real estate and flipping houses. We don't have a direct background in real estate, and are very much in need of any resources we can get, and are hopeful to turn this into our full time business.

The current property I own is in Colorado Springs, and the market is absolutely crazy here. We are hoping to capitalize on this to help fund our move to FL and ambitions. We do not have formal training in redoing houses, but in the past year have completely remodeled our house, the vast majority of which we did ourselves and for very little cost. Our best example is we fully re did the bathroom (painted cabinets, installed new countertop/sink, paint, trim, ripped out the old tile and drywall and replaced with concrete backer board and porcelain tile, installed new shower fixtures from 2 valve to single valve and replaced the copper piping with PEX). The entire house is night/day different from the purchase, and we are confident in our current skills, but also very aware we need to learn more and that is one of the main reasons I am here. We have connections throughout central FL, and do know some professionals in different fields who can assist in small ways. So I am hopeful we are not completely out of our element.

I look forward to learning more from everyone here, and am thankful that a group like this exists and for any knowledge we can gain from you and your experiences!
