Kansas City Property Manager Challenges

Kris Wham
Posted

Ok, so here's the deal...I got started investing last fall. Purchased my first Duplex in Independence. Took my property manager 6 months to get the second tenant in place unfortunately. When I saw how my property manager hasn't valued me or my property the same way that I have, I decided to start investing in another state, NC. I've since then purchased an additional 4 properties working with the same property manager in NC and have had a great experience with them. Tenant placement within days of owning the property, high level of communication, available 7 days a week and late into the evening usually.

My KC property manager is apparently too large or they simply don't care about me or my property...so I need to find another property manager. Preferably one that is also a licensed agent and is available after traditional 9-5 hours. I want to keep growing my portfolio in the KC market, but I can't do it without the right team.

Does anyone have any feedback or insight that would be helpful?
